Blackie’s Pasture

One of the most charming places in the area is Blackie's Pasture, a waterfront park in the heart of Tiburon. It is located at 654 Tiburon Blvd, Tiburon, CA 94920.  With its prime location right on the waterfront, it's easy to reach and usually has wonderful weather. This historic property is named after a legendary horse that crossed the bay in 1938 and is now Tiburon's mascot. The grounds are home to the famous Blackie's Pasture restaurant and gift shop.

When visiting Tiburon, don't miss the Lyford's Stone Tower, a unique landmark built in the Victorian era as a utopian health village. The tower sits on a rocky perch overlooking the cove and overlooking Angel Island, and is a short walk from downtown Tiburon. The tower is worth visiting not only for the views of the bay and nearby coastal areas, but for a great selfie.

If you love animals, you'll want to visit the Richardson Bay Audubon Center, Blackies Pasture in Tiburon, California. It's home to a life-sized bronze sculpture by Albert Guibara. The grounds are perfect for kids, with walking paths and fields. A life-size sculpture of Blackie greets visitors upon entering the site.

You must have a valid fishing license to fish from the shore, and dogs are not allowed. Service animals and children under the age of six are allowed, however. Water quality is tested every two weeks by Marin County and is regulated by a state-certified agency.
